Rolling and Laughing

Posted by Melanie on Feb 28, 2010 in Blog

It’s hard to believe that our little Walter is now five months old! He is getting so big and developing really well (at least in our opinion). At his four month check-up, he weighed 15 lbs 12 oz. I’m sure now he is over 16 lbs. He is a happy baby, very vocal and likes a lot of attention (what baby doesn’t?).

And Then We Exhale

Posted by Melanie on Feb 19, 2010 in Blog

Life is busy…um, life is crazy busy. Life is good…crazy good! To say that the husband and I are loving life is, well, to be perfectly honest, maybe not the whole truth. Our complete joy and happiness in having our precious little boy is overwhelming. We love being parents, we love looking and playing with Walter. We love how he is starting to smile and become engaged with his world around him.

Snow! Snow! Come Out In The Snow!

Posted by Melanie on Jan 31, 2010 in Blog

This post is dedicated to Christine O. and Tina H., who have constantly berated me to update my blog.
Well, it has been awhile since I blogged, and for this I am truly sorry!  It has been a whirlwind to say the least since the last post, when Walter was 2 months old.  I [...]

Two Month Check-Up

Posted by Melanie on Dec 6, 2009 in Blog

This past week, Walter had his two month check-up at the pediatrician. And this check-up included his first round of shots – yikes! Walter was in a terrifc mood at the doctor’s office. He was very wiggly and squirmy and smiled a lot. That is until he got his shots!

Sleep Training

Posted by Melanie on Dec 4, 2009 in Blog

A little over two weeks ago, Walter slept great one night.  He went to bed about 11pm in his crib, woke up about 3:30am to eat, went right back to sleep and then woke up about 6am to eat and we began our day!  I was so thrilled that he got a good nights’ sleep AND [...]

God’s Greatest Gift

Posted by Melanie on Nov 17, 2009 in Blog

Being a mom is the greatest. For me, it is the ultimate experience of being a woman. It’s the fulfillment of what my body was designed for: to birth and care for a baby. To raise this baby to become a child, a teenager, an adult. I’ve heard moms thank God that their child chose them as their parents; that God blessed that mom and dad to care for that child, sent specially down from Heaven to that mom and that dad. And I could not agree more.

Six Week Check-Up

Posted by Melanie on Nov 11, 2009 in Blog

Walter is six weeks old today, and it’s hard to believe how much our lives have changed in just these short weeks. At times it seems that these six weeks have flown by. Walter has gotten bigger, he’s more alert and active during the day. Other times, it seems like six years since his birth day.

All About Bath Time

Posted by Melanie on Nov 9, 2009 in Blog

Hi Everyone!
Last night Mommy and Dad gave me a bath!  This is what my hair looks like after I get a bath.  It sticks straight up!  I don’t even have to do anything to it to make it do that!  Mommy says she likes my fluffy hair and says that it smells good.
I had to [...]

One Month Check-Up

Posted by Melanie on Nov 3, 2009 in Blog

Yesterday Walter had his one-month check-up at the pediatrician. We were anxious to see how much he weighed, and even took a bet before he hit the scale. I guessed 10 lbs. 9 oz. and Jason guessed 10 lbs. 5 oz. Well, the little man exceeded both our expectations…
