It's hard to believe that our little Walter is now five months old! He is getting so big and developing really well (at least in our opinion). At his four month check-up, he weighed 15 lbs 12 oz. I'm sure now he is over 16 lbs. He is a happy baby, very vocal and likes a lot of attention (what baby doesn't?).

Life is busy...um, life is crazy busy. Life is good...crazy good! To say that the husband and I are loving life is, well, to be perfectly honest, maybe not the whole truth. Our complete joy and happiness in having our precious little boy is overwhelming. We love being parents, we love looking and playing with Walter. We love how he is starting to smile and become engaged with his world around him.

Walter was in a terrifc mood at the doctor's office. He was very wiggly and squirmy and smiled a lot. That is until he got his shots!

Thanksgiving 2009 was a great day. We decided against traveling this year and to open our home to our family for Thanksgiving dinner. We hosted Thanksgiving two years ago in our home and had an absolute wonderful time. So this year, we decided to have Walter's first Thanksgiving at home and we planned to repeat our dinner from a couple years ago.

Being a mom is the greatest. For me, it is the ultimate experience of being a woman. It's the fulfillment of what my body was designed for: to birth and care for a baby. To raise this baby to become a child, a teenager, an adult. I've heard moms thank God that their child chose them as their parents; that God blessed that mom and dad to care for that child, sent specially down from Heaven to that mom and that dad. And I could not agree more.
