Rolling and Laughing
It’s hard to believe that our little Walter is now five months old! He is getting so big and developing really well (at least in our opinion). At his four month check-up, he weighed 15 lbs 12 oz. I’m sure now he is over 16 lbs. He is a happy baby, very vocal and likes a lot of attention (what baby doesn’t?). Our latest developmental milestone is that he rolled over for the first time this week! He rolled over from his back to his tummy twice in one day, and then a few days later he rolled from his tummy to his back. He hasn’t done it since then (this was last week) but I’m sure it’s only a matter of a few weeks before he is rolling over a lot. Last night during his bath he laughed for the first time. He has been smiling for a couple months now, but this is the first time I heard a really good laugh (as opposed to just some grunts and coos accompanied by the smile). What made him laugh you ask? He was chewing on a plastic cup during bath time. Sure…that’s really funny Walter. But hey, whatever makes you laugh, right? It sure made Jason and I laugh!

Happy bath time!

Rubber ducky you make bath time so much fun!

That certainly wasn’t the first time I have heard him laugh… but it was the first time he has laughed like that… a pro-longed giggle mixed with belly laughs. It was hilarious. He was laughing at… something… and we were laughing with him. Priceless.
I bet Walter has a lot more laughes coming your way. What pure joy he is.
