23 Weeks

Today we’re 23 weeks! Our little boy is about the size of a large mango and weighs just over a pound. He is still kicking, and seems to be a late sleeper – he prefers to kick in the early afternoon and late at night.
The husband and I are slowly preparing the nursery and gathering various baby items. We painted the nursery last weekend a khaki color, and the husband gave it a second coat of paint today. We’ve purchased some odds and ends that we find on sale or really cheap online (today we received some merchandise from Land’s End that the husband found on clearance). We’re hoping to get our crib soon, and then some more furniture (after we clear out the furniture that is currently in the nursery). We’ve got a couple boxes of diapers and a few sets of clothes. I’m planning to make one last trip to Motherhood Maternity this weekend to get some tank tops to wear when I walk the dogs.
So far I’m still feeling pretty good! I get pretty tired at night, and I get full really fast when I eat. But other than my growing belly, I feel pretty normal (thank goodness). I’ve been walking the dogs early in the morning before work the past couple of weeks and I have noticed that I have been sleeping better at night the past couple of weeks, so that is good!
Overall things are progressing nicely. We have another doctor’s appointment at the end of the month – glucose test to determine whether or not I have gestational diabetes (hopefully I do not). As always, I’ll continue to document my progress these next 17 weeks!

You look wonderful, little mama!
