A Coffee To Go has been so much on the go that there hasn’t been time for blogging! But alas, if anyone is still with me and reading my blog, I will try to post more regularly.
Updates on life:
Bathroom is 95% complete. We just have to stain the trim work and put it up. All in all, we are very pleased with how the bathroom remodel turned out. And it’s so wonderful to have my shower and closet back!
Our next home improvement adventure brings us to the outside of our house. We have contracted to get a new roof, new gutters and gutter guards, new back door and all new windows on the second floor (budget will allow us to do the windows on the first floor hopefully sometime next year). Our roof is leaking, the gutters are clogged, and the aluminum windows are all in bad shape. We’re really excited about these exterior improvements and hope that it will help us save on our electric bill.
My brother and fiancee are getting married in August and I am a bridesmaid! The hubs and I are throwing the happy couple an engagement party in a couple weeks and we’re really looking forward to meeting their friends and celebrating the upcoming wedding. We’ve hired a cleaning service to come in the day before to deep clean the house which is super exciting to me. I love a clean house. I love sitting and just taking in my clean house.
The hubs and I have a dental appointment at the end of the month – our first in many years! Here’s hoping for no cavities!
We’re slowly combing the house for items to sell at yard sale that we have planned with my parents in Winston-Salem around the end of April. In the same vain as having a clean house, I love getting rid of “stuff” that just clutters up a home. I’m hoping to get rid of a lot of things that we don’t need (in our 2 1/2 years of marriage, we have somehow managed to fill 2,400 square feet of house with stuff – you would think we had been married 20 years by the amount of items in our house).
Now that winter seems to be melting away (tomorrow’s high is suppose to be 80 degrees), the Hubs and I are looking forward to a nice spring with many projects on tap. I’ll be sure to keep you posted, and hopefully have some fun pictures to post.
