Today my husband celebrates the big 3-0 (he probably doesn’t want me advertising his age). But nonetheless, today is a special day to celebrate my husband! And today must be his lucky day because he is happily watching a Battlestar Galatica marathon on TV and eagerly anticipating the two-hour series finale tonight at 9pm.

Last year on this day we adopted River. River is our sweet Lab mix that came to us by way of the Franklin County Humane Society. Of course we do not know River’s actual birthday, or even exactly how old she is, but she has become a dear member of our family and we can’t picture our lives without her.
Spending time on the couch today, I watched a lot of television. For those of you who know me well, you know that I love television. I always have. On any given day, I would rather watch a couple espisodes of a favorite show than watch a movie (not that I don’t love movies). There’s not much on during the day, even with cable, but between DVDs and my laptop, I was pretty well occupied on the couch.
In anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, the husband and I are cooking a traditional Irish meal for dinner tonight. We are paying homage to his Irish heritage. We plan to have leftovers tomorrow for dinner!
Now that winter seems to be melting away (tomorrow’s high is suppose to be 80 degrees), the Hubs and I are looking forward to a nice spring with many projects on tap.
